Prologis has started the development of an SBU centre in the Polish capital – Prologis Park Warsaw-Żerań, DC2. The small business unit facility off Trasa Toruńska in the city’s Żerań district comprises 11,000 sqm of industrial space, with units starting from 600 sqm of warehouse space and office units starting from 100 sqm, which can be combined and enlarged as the business grows.
"The building will be subject to BREEAM accreditation at the ‘Very Good’ level and, just as in the case of each our current projects, we will additionally provide funds for the protection of rain forests as part of our cooperation with the Cool Earth organisation. Our project is being developed in a former industrial area, so we are breathing new life into this site. At Prologis Park Warsaw-Żerań, we will provide a place where green, sustainable construction is combined with greater comfort of work. In line with our Parklife concept, we will provide many additional amenities in the park. Therefore, especially for employees of our customers, it will have an electric car charging station, a bike shed, well-being space and – another novelty – Book Box, an open-air library", says Jarosław Bicki, a project manager at Prologis.
The building will be the Prologis first warehouse project in Poland to be fully developed using the building information modelling (BIM) system – from the concept stage through the construction to its eventual management.
Prologis Park Warsaw - Żerań is well connected with the centre of Warsaw. The vicinity of the Toruńska Route guarantees comfortable access, also by means of public transport - several tram and bus lines. Next to the park, there are recreational areas with a playground, swimming pool and ice rink, as well as a shopping centre and a hotel.
