Irish fashion retailer Primark will open a new store in AFI Cotroceni, the shopping mall owned by AFI Europe in Bucharest.
AFI Cotroceni has a total leasable area of 90,000 sqm and offers 300 spaces for shopping and entertainment activities.
“Primark is a perfect addition to our mix of retail, entertainment and food attractions. This new entry sends a strong sign of trust in the local market potential and in AFI Cotroceni to keep its leading position," said Sorin Scîntei, General Manager of AFI Cotroceni. The retailer was assisted by real estate consultancy CBRE Romania in the analysis and real estate decision-making process.
This will be Primark’s second store in Bucharest after the one planned in ParkLake Shopping Centre.
Romania is one of the most attractive markets in CEE region for retailers, and the country’s positive outlook regarding consumption throughout 2021 and 2022 is encouraging, said AFI Europe in a press release.
