Penta Real Estate is finishing the construction of the new Motel One hotel in the centre of Prague near Masaryk railway station. According to the development company, the total investment in the hotel, which will be part of the Cloud One Line chain, came to CZK 1.2 billion (€51.2 million) over six years of preparation and construction. The hotel is scheduled to open in the spring of 2024.
The construction of the new Motel One hotel in Prague's city centre has reached the highest point of construction, the so-called glajcha, and is nearing completion, Penta Real Estate has announced. Currently, the builder is finishing the lining of the building envelope, installing windows on the 4th floor, working on the facade from Hybernská Street and adjusting the plasterboard structures directly in the interiors.
The new hotel will be operated by the international chain Motel One. The hotel opening is scheduled for the spring of 2024. Alongside the hotel, there will also be retail units accessible both directly from the street and from the atrium itself. "The heart of the whole proposal is the atrium, which will be accessible through all passages. One will lead people to the platform, another to Opletalova Street and another to the main station. The project also includes the extension of the pavement at Hybernská Street and the addition of tree planting, creating an attractive urban boulevard," says architect Jan Schindler.
Penta also plans to connect the atrium with the platform of Masaryk Station. Schindler Seko Architects is behind the architectural design of the hotel.
