Panattoni and E.G.O., one of the suppliers of components for domestic appliance manufacturers, are starting the construction of a new production facility in Łódź. The investment is valued at over PLN 100 million (ca. €23 million).
The cornerstone-laying ceremony, held on November 27, 2024, was attended by representatives of the E.G.O. Group: Dr. Karlheinz Hörsting, CEO of the E.G.O. Group; Jose Menendez Herrero, Managing Director/Head of Global Operations; Mariusz Stępniewski, CEO of E.G.O. Polska sp. z o.o.; and Bernd Eckl, CEO of BLANC & FISCHER Family Holding. The event was also attended by business partners and invited guests.
”Today’s groundbreaking marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the E.G.O.-Group here in Łódź. The building is a sign of our commitment to the Łódź location – a signal to dare to do new things”, emphasizes E.G.O. CEO Dr. Karlheinz Hörsting.
“The building is being developed as a build-to-own facility, which is always a tremendous vote of confidence in the developer. We are delighted that E.G.O. has entrusted us with the execution of such an important project. By delivering ambitious projects for market leaders, we contribute to the growth of the entire region”, said Marek Dobrzycki, Partner at Panattoni.
“We provided property in an excellent location - close to the company’s previous headquarters and strategic business partners. The production facility has been designed in close collaboration with the client’s team to perfectly meet their technological requirements and support the company’s continued growth”, said Katarzyna Kujawiak, Development Director at Panattoni.
The 15,000 sqm facility is being built near the city centre, just 8 km from downtown and 4 km from the A1 motorway. The location ensures convenient access for employees and provides room for future expansion. Construction has been underway since July and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of next year.
Across the Łódź region, Panattoni has already developed over 2.3 mln sqm of warehouse and production space including the Central European Logistics Hub, which is one of the largest industrial complexes in Europe.
