Panattoni Hungary has officially opened its first logistics centre near Budapest. Panattoni City Dock Törökbálint offers 17,000 sqm of modern industrial space in four buildings. The value of the investment has not been disclosed.
This BREEAM Excellent-certified project was delivered on time according to the planned nine-month construction period, said László Kemenes Managing Director of Panattoni Hungary. The new logistics centre was designed by Value4Real, and constructed by Market Zrt. and Aston Construction Zrt.
The first tenant is Pharma Pack, which will move in as early as summer. It will create a warehouse and a packaging facility using 3,000 sqm of industrial space. This complex will be a last-mile logistics centre for companies optimizing their shipping activity and wanting to decrease their storage costs.
Panattoni has secured carsharing space and a charger point for electric vehicles to address its sustainability goals. The company has confirmed that the second development will take place in the southeastern suburb of Budapest, not far from the city of Gyál.
