Panattoni has launched work on the third building of Panattoni Park Ruda Śląska II, which is to be fully occupied by Konimpex a company involved in the trade, logistics and distribution of chemical and industrial raw materials.
Konimpex is a company with global operations from Konin. It has offices in many European countries including Turkey, Romania and France while it is also present in China. However, the company’s headquarters remain in Poland and the development of its operations in its home market is of particular importance. The latest stage in its growth is the lease of an entire 16,000 sqm building in Panattoni Park Ruda Śląska II.
“Having a location in the center of the Silesian urban area near to Konimpex’s former base will allow the company to handle larger volumes and will improve its logistics infrastructure. The development of our Silesian portfolio has turned out to be of benefit both to our long-term partners and also to new clients such as Konimpex. We hope that this is the start of a relationship that lasts many years”, says Tomasz Sikora, the Senior Leasing Manager at Panattoni.
Konimpex is to use the center for warehousing and logistics. The location with its easy access to the A4 and the A1 motorways will be key to the distribution of Konimpex goods. The development is to be certified with a rating of Excellent under BREEAM and Panattoni is to employ solutions to save energy and water as well as to improve the area’s biodiversity and the wellbeing of employees.
Panattoni’s developments in Ruda Śląska are leased rapidly. In Panattoni Park Ruda Śląska I, II and III, the developer has already completed 160,000 sqm and its second Ruda Śląska park is being extended by a further 16,000 sqm for Konimpex. All three developments are now fully commercialised and the first stage of Panattoni Park Ruda Śląska IV, which is currently under construction, is almost fully leased with logistics operator Regesta taking up 33,000 sqm of the planned 45,000 sqm area. Altogether, the developer has already found tenants for 200,000 sqm in one of the fastest-growing industrial districts of the region.
“Ruda Śląska’s strength is that it has not become a center for just one specific industry, but instead clients from many different branches have chosen it for their location including logistics, courier services, and e-commerce as well as both light and heavy manufacturing with global reach. The central location within the urban area on the one hand provides access to two motorways and on the other to a huge population within the region making it an attractive option for all kinds of businesses”, surmises Tomasz Sikora.
