Panattoni Park Košice Aiport has expanded by a second hall. The first tenants have already taken over the area of around 6,300 sqm. The nearly 20,000 sqm hall was built by developer Panattoni in cooperation with investor Accolade. Erik Ivaničko, Panattoni's director for Slovakia, told the TASR news agency that the investment in the construction of the new hall is about € 17 million.
"Panattoni Park Košice Aiport will have 19 800 sqm of warehouse space. It needs to be completed, finished, approved and sold to clients for use," said Ivaničko, Panattoni's director for Slovakia. According to him, this second hall should be completed this year. Due to its eco-saving solutions, the hall is also applying for a high-level rating certificate under the latest BREEAM New Construction standards at the Excellent level. The first tenants are logistics company PKZ Logistics and nutritional supplements company GreenPharm.
Panattoni Industrial Park should thus have two large halls with a total area of almost 35,000 sqm by the end of 2022. The first hall with an area of 15,000 sqm is now more than 80 percent leased and the remaining space is being finalised for the next client.
Ivaničko is confident that both buildings will be fully occupied. According to him, the company decided to build the logistics park in this location mainly because of the dynamics of the market in Eastern Europe, the strategic location of this region, the transport connections and the workforce.
