Panattoni Europe is developing a fifth logistics centre for Amazon. The new facility featuring 135,000 sqm is being built in Sosnowiec in the region of Upper Silesia. Completion of the project is planned for October 2017.

The new logistics centre is being built in Sosnowiec in the Upper Silesia region. The property totalling 135,000 sqm will be built on a 21-hectare site near Panattoni Park Sosnowiec I/II. Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Sosnowiec will be adapted to the high-bay storage system and dedicated to the distribution of shoes and clothes in Western Europe. Moreover – like with the previous Panattoni Europe projects for Amazon – the facility will be subject to environmental certification under the BREEAM scheme. Completion of construction works is planned for October 2017.

The investment in Sosnowiec is the fifth project implemented by Panattoni Europe for Amazon in Europe – finished facilities are in operation in Bielany near Wrocław and Sady near Poznań, as well as in the Czech Republic, and another one is under development in Kołbaskowo near Szczecin. The new centre will help meet growing customer demand, further increase its product selection and support more third-party sellers under Fulfillment by Amazon.
