The developer has begun construction work on Panattoni Park Kalisz in the city’s southwestern industrial district. It is to have 35,000 sqm of Class A space. The building is to be divided into small business units with the smallest module being 1,380 sqm. The first tenants in the park are to be logistics operators and they will start their operations in the building in April 2021.
Panattoni is strengthening its position in the Wielkopolska region by adding a new location to its portfolio, one that is the second-largest population centre in the region – Kalisz. The developer has recently launched construction on a BTS building for an industrial supplier. Now nearby on ul. Inwestorska work has begun on the development of the first, class A industrial and logistics centre in the area. Panattoni Park Kalisz will include up a combined area of 35,000 sqm in two buildings, and the tenants will be able to make use of flexible modules with an area of 1,380 sqm that can be used both for storage and production purposes.
Katarzyna Osińska, Development Director at Panattoni commented on the extension of the Kalisz portfolio: “For a long time, we’ve been investing in Wielkopolska since we can see a lot of potential in the region both at the country and the international level. After having completed numerous projects in Poznań and its surrounding area, Kalisz is the natural next step. It is the second-largest city of the region and is superbly situated between three key cities on the logistics map in Poland: Łódź, Wrocław, and Poznań. Additionally, it has no class A warehouse buildings, which for the last 15 years Panattoni has been supplying to the market in Poland”. She also adds: “With very good access to labour and a wide range of investment land, Kalisz is becoming a superb alternative to the administrative capital of the region.”
Panattoni Park Kalisz is being built in the city’s southwestern industrial zone 6 km from the centre, which will give the park good transport links both within the town and to the surrounding area. The complex will be near national road nr 25 and 7 km from the road nr 12, which runs from the German border to the border with Ukraine. Moreover, the city bypass will be 2.5 km from the complex, and it will take under an hour to reach the A2 motorway, which connects Poznań with Łódź, Warsaw, and Berlin.
