GTC opens new office building in Belgrade

Nordeus, independent mobile gaming company based in Belgrade, chose GTC’s office centre to create their new studio. To accommodate a team of 170 people, the creator of competitive games leased 6,000 sqm across seven floors with three additional underground levels for parking.

IT&C players drive demand for Bucharest offices

UBM Development prepares new mixed-use project in Prague

Following the recent takeover of the Sugarmaker Palace, UBM Development is preparing another large project, namely the Astrid Garden multifunctional complex, consisting of two parts – Astrid Offices and Astrid Residences. In the first stage, a five-storey office building will be constructed, followed by a residential complex of about 110 units the sale of which will be launched in the third quarter of 2020. The architectural form was designed by Bogle Architects, emphasising not only the modern look, lightness and airiness, but also the sensitive setting in the typical character of Holešovice.

New leases drive Budapest’s office market

Total demand in the first quarter of 2019 reached 79,980 sqm on Budapest’s office market, representing a 12.2% decrease year-on-year. New leases accounted for 45% of the total leasing activity, according to BRF’s latest figures.

New leases

  • Arla Global Shared Services will move its local headquarters to the Punkt office building in Gdańsk. The company has leased nearly 10,000 sqm of space, to which it will move in early 2026.
  • Spanish clothing brand Zara, owned by Inditex, is closing its shop in the Wars Sawa Junior complex in Warsaw. Its place will be taken by Uniqlo, which has been operating in the facility as a pop-up store since 2021. The Japanese-origin clothing brand Uniqlo has so far been present in the complex in the form of a temporary shop of around 800 sqm. The space vacated by Zara has allowed the brand to occupy almost 1,800 sqm.
  • Sellpy has leased 6,000 sqm in Industra Park Arad, owned by Oresa Industra. The deal was brokered by Activ Property Services.

New appointments

  • Colliers has announced the appointment of Grzegorz Sielewicz as Head of the Economic and Market Analysis Department for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). His role will cover Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Romania.
  • Genesis Property has appointed Flavia Schoech as COO, tasked with leading the development and alignment of the operational strategy of the developer.
  • Beata Rodziewicz joins the Corees Polska team as Leasing Director. She will be responsible for the commercialisation of office buildings.
