The new OC Tehelko shopping centre, part of the National Football Stadium complex in Bratislava, was opened by developer Grafobal Group, owned by businessman Ivan Kmotrík, INDEX reports.
OC Tehelko has roughly 9,000 sqm of rentable space. In line with the concept of being connected to a sports complex, specialized sports stores predominate the centre’s tenant mix.
The opening of the shopping centre significantly lagged behind the residential part of the complex, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the developer also identified difficult cooperation with the state as a main reason for the delay.
Ivana Tittelová, Marketing Director at Grafobal Group, explained to INDEX that although only a few of the total 30 commercial spaces are open, the centre has reached an occupancy level of 80 percent. "Several tenants are still finishing the fitting of their spaces," she said.
According to her, the opening of the Tehelko shopping centre completes the construction of the National Football Stadium complex.
