Neinver, an investor, developer and operator in the European outlet centre industry and the largest operator in Spain and Poland, is certifying the COVID-19 hygiene and safety protocols and procedures implemented in the 20 centres it manages in five European countries. Neinver has reached an agreement with SGS, the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, to validate its safety protocols against the spread of COVID-19 in the centres it operates in Germany, Spain, Italy and Poland.
These certifications are part of the “Shop Safe, Stay Safe” programme, an initiative launched by Neinver across its European portfolio to prioritise the health and safety of its customers and employees. The “Shop Safe, Stay Safe” commitment ensures compliance with the strictest hygiene standards and with social distancing rules. It also ensures visitors are well informed through different digital and on-site channels at the centres, and that everyone is protected and provided with a safe shopping experience.
Neinver has worked collectively across the Group, adopting best practices from the first centres it reopened, to adapt procedures so shoppers can enjoy their visit in full confidence. It has also provided support to tenants, so their shops complied with all guidelines established by the authorities.
The measures include hygiene stations throughout the centre; larger cleaning and maintenance teams for proper hygiene and disinfection of all areas, especially the busiest zones; improved cleaning procedures for the ventilation systems; an ongoing monitoring team to better control capacity at the centre and ensure safety compliance; reinforcement of instructions to visitors, with special emphasis on compliance with social distancing; and limiting or adapting some services to meet safety requirements.
