MCG EastBridge, part of the Maszoński Group's portfolio is growing. Following a record-breaking deal on the Kraków warehouse market in Q1 2023 for nearly 37,000 sqm at GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre, the company decided to expand by more than 19,000 sqm. Under the signed agreements, MCG EastBridge will occupy a total of 56,200 sqm and will be a single occupier in the development, which is being built in the Niepołomice Investment Zone near Kraków. The two-stage lease is the largest signed transaction in the Polish warehouse market in the first half of 2023. In both cases, MCG EastBridge was represented by AXI IMMO.

MCG EastBridge is a new brand in the portfolio of Maszoński Logistic, which will continue the comprehensive transport and logistics services provided for more than 25 years in the European Union countries. The goal of the newly established company is to expand its operations to the southeast of Europe towards the Balkan Peninsula and Turkey.

Miroslaw Maszoński, Chairman, Maszoński Logistic, says: “Together with MCG EastBridge, we wanted to make an immediate presence in the minds of potential clients. That’s why one of the most convincing arguments we could make was to lease all the space in the currently constructed warehouse park, the new home for our new branch MCG EastBridge. We are conveying to potential customers that we are ready to offer them 100% of our commitment and experience in every possible process. By guaranteeing full logistics services on more than 56,000 sqm, we make it clear that they will receive professional support in every element of their business from the first days onwards.”

Bartosz Rojewski, Chief Operating Officer, MCG EastBridge, explains: “The decision to make an express expansion within GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre accompanied us almost immediately after signing the first lease agreement. Being the sole tenant of the warehouse park gives us a lot of freedom in terms of customizing unique solutions prepared for our client’s needs and planning all logistics operations. In addition, running all processes under one roof, without the need to share space, is also a guarantee of security and flexibility.”

MCG EastBride’s new headquarters will be developed as part of the GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre in the Niepolomice Investment Zone and will provide more than 56,000 sqm of modern warehouse space. The park’s location off the A4 highway creates ideal distribution conditions for Eastern and Western Europe. The logistics park will be less than 30 minutes from the centre of Kraków and 90 minutes from the border crossing with Slovakia Chyzne-Trstena, with approx. 120 minutes by truck to the Czech Republic (Gorzyczki-Vernovice) and Ukraine (Korczowa-Krakowiec).

The lease of 56,200 sqm GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre park by MCG EastBridge is the largest transaction in the Kraków and Małopolska warehouse market history. It is also the largest lease signed in the first half of 2023 on Poland’s industrial and logistics space market.

Marta Nowik, Director, Industrial & Logistics, AXI IMMO, comments: “The rapid decision to expand and lease a record-breaking 56,000 sqm puts MCG EastBridge on the pages of the history of the warehouse market in southeastern Poland. Considering that the Krakow region has had low vacancy rates for years and is increasingly gaining attractiveness for locating business here, the strategic location will certainly provide the company with the expected opportunities for growth. Leasing the entire building will significantly affect the flexibility of MCG EastBridge’s proposed logistics service, offering personalized solutions to the clients.”

Marcin Żuchniewicz, Business Development Manager, GLP, said: “For a developer and manager of logistics properties, the opportunity to develop cooperation with brands such as MCG East Bridge and Maszoński Logistic is a proof of the highest trust and the best recommendation. Based on our international know-how and thorough knowledge of the client’s needs, we will create a first-class space that supports the tenant’s business processes, is convenient for its employees and contractors, and simultaneously is realized in the spirit of sustainable development.”

GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre will be built in line with the BREEAM “Very Good” or higher certification requirements. Its features will include a storage height of 12 m, reinforced flooring with a loading capacity of 7.5 t/SQM, additional daylight and a solar-ready rooftop. The project also includes landscaped areas, electric vehicle charging stations, and a dedicated rest area for lorry drivers.
