Romanian developer Urban Invest will add a hotel under the AC Marriott brand in its mixed-use project Urban Plaza that is currently under construction in Brașov.
The hotel will have a capacity of 161 rooms and the partnership with the international hotel group Marriott will be in the form of a franchise collaboration, according to bizbrasov.ro. The investment in the hotel will amount to around €25 million. The management structure for the hotel is still under negotiation.
Urban Plaza will include over 78,000 sqm of residential, office and retail spaces as well as various facilities.
The total investment in the multifunctional project stands at around €120 million. The developer suggests that the hotel sector will continue to expand on the back of the opening of the first airport in Brașov at the end of 2022.
