Logicor has completed the construction of a dedicated logistics facility, which will be one of the distribution centers for medicinal products and derivatives on the hospital and pharmaceutical market. The investment with an area of 17,960 sqm was established in the Pass Industrial Zone in Błonie near Warsaw. It was implemented in accordance with the BREEAM Very Good standard and with the use of many additional ecological solutions.
The modern logistics facility Błonie comprises warehouse space (16,650 sqm) and social and office space (750 sqm). It was fully designed and made taking into account all the storage needs of pharmaceutical products.
“Only the highest quality facilities are able to meet the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical industry for drug storage. The new project in Błonie is a well-thought-out investment that meets our client's expectations both in terms of technological standards and a perfect location. The facility was built on the basis of Logicor's sustainable development strategy, the BREEAM standard with a Very Good rating and with the use of additional ecological measures. Our goal is to implement such innovative solutions in all new projects,” said Bartosz Miearańak, Managing Director of CEE & Northern Europe at Logicor.
“In accordance with Logicor's policy, we certify all new facilities in accordance with the BREEAM Very Good standard. In addition, we offered the tenant a number of pro-ecological solutions. The building is equipped with photovoltaic panels that can fully supply air conditioning in the office part. The installation of solar panels is sufficient to heat the demand for domestic water. The entire facility has the highest standard of LED lighting installation with full DALI automation, including motion and daylight sensors. The installation has been programmed according to the customer's guidelines to maximize energy savings," said Ernest Ziółkowski, Head of Project Management CEE at Logicor.
The facility is also equipped with a gray water system. All green areas around the building have been planned with the use of local drought-resistant plant species. Out of concern for the environment, nesting boxes for birds have been installed. This was complemented by a green design and numerous trees planted on the plot. As part of the project, two electric car charging stations were also implemented - each with a capacity of 22kW.
