Żabka Group launches huge logistics centre near Warsaw

Żabka Group has unveiled its automated logistics centre in Radzymin, just outside Warsaw. This facility is the largest and most technologically advanced addition to Żabka Group's logistics infrastructure. Enhanced with an automated high-bay warehouse and an internal transport system, the centre has been specifically designed to expedite logistics services for the Group’s stores.

HelloParks opens new warehouses near Budapest

The first tenants have moved into the new logistics park at Maglód and Fót which has been developed by the Hungarian company HelloParks, a subsidiary of Futureal Group. The MG3 building at Maglód offers 46,000 sqm of modern industrial space while at Fót 26,000 sqm of logistics space is available in the FT6 building.

Amazon opens distribution centre in Kojetin

Internet retailer Amazon has opened its new robotic distribution centre in Kojetin, Přerov region, where it plans to employ up to 2,000 workers. This is Amazon's second distribution centre in the Czech Republic, but the new one is equipped with the most advanced robotic technology, the Czech News Agency (ČTK) reported.

Warehouse market in Poland reflects economic environment

The Polish warehouse real estate market has slowed after a record period of growth that was achieved during the pandemic. Gross demand for warehouse space in Poland for Q1 2023 totalled more than 982,000 sqm, a 35 percent year-on-year drop and an 18 percent decline compared to the five-year average. According to JLL's analysis, however, Q1 2023 was better than the corresponding periods in 2019 and 2020. Most of the new demand was in Poland's major logistics regions.

Latest news


New leases

  • Prologis has extended its seven-year partnership with AMD Europe. The company will continue to lease more than 5,500 sqm of warehouse space at Prologis Park Poznań.
  • Poșta Română has temporarily leased over 5,000 sqm of space in the CTPark Bucharest industrial park, located in Western Bucharest, for the activity of its Bucharest Regional Logistics and Courier Hub.
  • Tchibo Brands Romania is relocating its HQ to Vastint’s Business Garden Bucharest and will occupy 1,130 sqm of office space. The lease deal was brokered by Fortim Trusted Advisors, a member of BNP Paribas Real Estate.

New appointments

  • Marcin Janik has taken up the position of head of the southern Poland region at CBRE. He will be responsible for Silesia, Małopolska and the previously serviced Wrocław.
  • GTC Group has appointed Miklos Egri as Chief Operating Officer. The new manager will be responsible for the company's day-to-day operational and administrative management in the Central and Eastern European markets.
  • Paulina Petynka has joined the team of Yareal Polska, taking on the position of Leasing Director. She has more than 20 years of professional experience.
