Real estate group Immofinanz says it has concluded a long-term rental contract for roughly 11,000 sqm with healthcare services provider Provita Group.

The medical group will fully occupy the Iride eighteen building in northern Bucharest for 25 years. Provita will use the space for a new hospital with 110 beds and seven operating rooms.

“The partnership with Provita will expand the current offering to also include a high-quality medical hub, which will increase the location’s attractiveness over the long-term,” says Dietmar Reindl, COO of Immofinanz. “Provita was convinced by our offering with our flexible building layouts, which allow for fast adjustments to meet new requirements, as well as the efficient transport connections.”

The new Provita hospital will open in the first quarter of 2021, once the adaptation works have been concluded.

Immofinanz’s portfolio in Romania had a carrying amount of €757.3 million as of 30 September 2020, which is 15.3% of the total portfolio. The 13 standing investments have roughly 334,000 sqm of leasable space in office and retail projects.
