Austrian real estate group Immofinanz will start the refurbishment of shopping centre VIVO! Baia Mare on June 1. The works on the project located in northern Romania will cover more than 10,000 sqm, which is one third of the total surface of the centre.

The new space resulting from the refurbishment and extension of the mall will be occupied by a leading domestic food retailer as well as prominent fashion and sports brands, some of which will be making their debut in the local market, according to a company press release.

Some of the existing tenants in the centre will expand their presence in VIVO! Baia Mare following the upgrade.

Immofinanz has three other shopping centers in Romania, located in Cluj-Napoca, Constanța and Pitești. The company also owns the STOP SHOP retail park in Botoșani.

In 2019, the company carried out a similar refurbishment process at VIVO! Cluj-Napoca, where it upgraded 22,000 sqm worth of space.
