News Article IB Cargo and Maersk open logistics centre near Bucharest

Romanian IB Cargo, a freight forwarding supplier, and Maersk, the container logistics group, have jointly started operations at a new distribution and logistics centre near Bucharest. 


The warehouse is one of the largest in Romania with 75,000 sqm and is located in CTPark Bucharest West. The two companies will service all Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Middle East and Turkey from the new location. 

“The park will be even better next year to the benefit of our tenants – we will add supermarket, accommodation, and other facilities needed,” said Ana Dumitrache, Country Head CTP Romania. 

The distribution centre will have a storage capacity of over 100,000 pallets and the daily inbound-outbound traffic can exceed 70 trucks daily. 

CTPark Bucharest West Facts is located outside Bucharest, near the A1 Highway, and has a built-up area of 664,000 sqm, while another 85,000 sqm are under construction. 

CTP has a portfolio of 1.85 million sqm of industrial and logistics spaces spread in 12 Romanian cities.
