The two-star Avion hotel in Bratislava's Ružinov district is to undergo a major reconstruction. The hotel, which experienced its glory mainly in the 1970s, is now going to be rebuilt into a multifunctional building with 55 apartments and offices by the developer Imoba Fin. The designer of the new form of the Avion Hotel should be the architectural studio DM Architekti.

According to the online daily reality.trend.sk, which quotes the daily Hospodárské noviny (HN), the developer intends to keep the hotel functions in the building. Eleven accommodation units and administrative premises will be created for this purpose. The hotel rooms should increase to 60 to 90 sqm and the residential units should have at least 90 sqm or more. The project is currently in the process of an environmental impact assessment, as mentioned by HN.
