HB Reavis has received the green light to start work this summer on Stanica Nivy, a new shopping centre and international bus station in Bratislava, after successfully gaining construction consent. The entire project is being financed by HB Reavis, representing a total investment volume of €345 million.
Designed by London architects Benoy and local architecture practice Siebert+Talas, the mixed-use scheme will deliver 70,000 sqm of retail space, a 30,000 sqm office tower and a new 30,000 sqm international bus station. The plans will also include reconstruction of the nearby Mlynské Nivy street.
The scheme is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors daily when it opens in 2019. As many as 20,000 travellers are expected to use the new fully integrated bus station on a daily basis.The developer is also working to develop a new cable car system to connect both banks of the Danube River to alleviate traffic during the construction process as well as improve the city’s overall infrastructure long term.
The entire project is being financed by HB Reavis, representing a total investment volume of €345 million (€270 million for the international bus terminal, shopping mall and marketplace, €75 million for the office building). The project works also include a significant investment by HB Reavis into the area’s technical and transportation infrastructure in the region of €24 million.
