Over 15,000 homes in Romania have received the green building certification between 2014 and 2024, and their combined value stands close to €3 billion, according to the Romania Green Building Council (RoGBC).
Romania is among the markets with an increased investment in green buildings, according to Andrei Botiș, RoGBC President and CEO of NAI Romania.
“Buyers, developers, along with banks and other financiers - everyone is interested in this type of building. There are not any office buildings built without green certification, and soon there will be no more residential projects without meeting these criteria,” said Botiș.
Across the real estate market, green buildings implement a number of sustainability criteria related to conservation of resources, according to RoGBC.
