GLP announced has successfully acquired two logistics warehouses spanning a combined area of 37,600 sqm in Janki near Warsaw. The price has not been disclosed.

The acquisition includes two buildings currently leased to brands in the logistics and food import industries. The location in close proximity to the S7 and S8 expressway intersection helps meet the growing demand for big-box warehouses with easy access to the Warsaw market, as well as major conurbations in central and southern Poland.

The new acquisition builds on GLP’s existing footprint in Poland which currently totals more than 1.5 million sqm, with an additional identified pipeline of 283,000 sqm of space set to be developed in the future.

Marek Jandous, Director of Investments and Asset Management CEE at GLP Europe, said: "This acquisition reinforces GLP's strong presence and investment expertise in key Central European markets. The addition of GLP Warsaw VII strengthens our portfolio near Warsaw that now includes six existing, fully leased logistics parks, as well as one project in an advanced stage of preparation.”

GLP was represented by local law firm Greenberg Traurig Nowakowska-Zimoch Wysokiński during the acquisition. The transaction value remains undisclosed.
