Apart from remodelling the food court, a 10% extension is planned in this centrally located retail complex. This is the biggest change in the life of Westend shopping centre, managed by Granit Polus. The company has not disclosed the size of the investment.

The food court is the most visited part of the centre and now will be transformed into a lovely unit with different functions under the branded name of Food&Friends. Granit Polus decided to split the court into several subparts to host those functions such as cafe, restaurant, business meetings and space for community activities.

Nature, sustainability and digital solutions (e.g. 45 meter LED walls, free gadgets, digital ordering panels etc.) are in focus to provide a charming atmosphere in the iconic retail centre. Work is underways and the handover is scheduled for the end of July.

According to Granit Polus, this is by far the biggest investment since the mall's opening in 1999. The Westend shopping centre offers 200,000 sqm GLA and hosts 400 retail units.
