Romanian e-commerce player eMAG is investing in a new warehouse spanning more than 100,000 sqm near Budapest, which is the company’s first development of this kind outside the country.
The warehouse will be completed by the end of 2023 following an investment of more than €100 million. The investment is jointly made by eMAG and Extreme Digital, a firm that merged with the former in 2019, according to zf.ro.
At present, eMAG has an ongoing investment of more than €90 million in a logistics hub near Bucharest. The project will accommodate retailers that are present of eMAG’s marketplace and need logistics services.
eMAG is the biggest online retailer in Romania and is present in several markets across Central and Eastern Europe.
