According to the official news from the group headquarters, the centre is not for sale now. “Galerie Vaňkovka will remain with the German company ECE, which built it, the sale has been stopped. We received official information from the management on Tuesday, it is a very nice gift for the centre’s 20th birthday,” said Tomáš Knop, the director of the shopping centre. 

Galerie Vaňkovka opened near the centre of Brno on the former Friderich Wannieck factory site in March 2005. It currently has over 130 stores on 37,000 sqm.
