Dom Development Group has established the Nasz Dom Foundation to consolidate all charitable activities. The Foundation’s work was officially launched with a cooperation agreement signed with the Ukrainian foundation - Housing for IDP. In 2024, Nasz Dom Foundation will donate PLN 3.2 million to support a housing project for internally displaced persons in Ukraine.

“Our company, through its various subsidiaries, boasts a long history of community and charity initiatives. This is also part of our ESG DOM 2030 strategy. Nasz Dom Foundation will consolidate our charitable efforts under one roof, and thus facilitate the management of our responsible business initiatives”, says Leszek Stankiewicz, President of the Nasz Dom Foundation, and the Vice President of the Management Board and CFO of Dom Development S.A.

Just last year, the company contributed nearly PLN 8.3 million to charity, 250% more than a year before.

The Foundation will continue the developer’s efforts to support local communities by supporting community centres, educational establishments, sports initiatives, and partnerships with cultural and charitable organisations. One of its key objectives will also be the support for the Ukrainian community.

“Our ambition is to help people tackle hardship, often deprived of a place to live – beyond our national borders, too. Last year, together with the Housing for IDP Foundation, we renovated a ruined building in Irpin, which now is a home for 19 families who lost their homes as a consequence of the war. We are committed to extending our support to more people in need, which is why the Nasz Dom Foundation has chosen to continue working with our Ukrainian partner. This year we will work together to renovate an abandoned senior care home in the Vinnytsia region. The Nasz Dom Foundation will contribute PLN 3.2 million towards this purpose”, says Leszek Stankiewicz.

In the renovated building in Vinnytsia, 14 apartments will be set up for families displaced as a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine. An important aspect of the project will be the construction of an air-raid shelter for 30 people and the development of the 500 sqm of surrounding land. The initiative in Vinnytsia is part of the frame agreement entered into by the Nasz Dom Foundation and Housing for IDP Foundation at the beginning of August this year.

“Unfortunately, the war continues, internal migration is growing and the number of reconstruction projects is not keeping pace with the destruction: the number of families in urgent need of housing continues to grow. As a fund, we are constantly looking for new opportunities to provide IDPs from the occupied territories with quality housing. We greatly appreciate the continued cooperation and support of our Polish partners, with whom we share the same values regarding the quality of housing”, says Olga Yerosenko, President of the Housing for IDP Foundation.

Last year, Dom Development allocated nearly PLN 5 million to help people affected by the war in Ukraine. In addition to the Irpin project, the developer also renovated of a care and educational institution in the Swoszowice district of Kraków, providing a home for 14 orphaned children from Ukraine.
