by Property Forum | Investment

Representing Magyar Posta Takarék Real Estate Investment Fund (MPTIA), Diófa Asset Management has signed a sales and purchase agreement with Portico Investment for a 27,500 sqm retail portfolio in Budapest and its agglomeration. Once regulatory approval is obtained, the size of the portfolio managed by Diófa will exceed 330,000 sqm.

The sale of larger, multi-tenant properties is in line with the long-term strategy of Portico Investments. The investor intends to build a portfolio of smaller retail parks in Budapest and its agglomeration.

Portico Investments’ current portfolio includes several retail units in Budapest (leased by Spar, CBA, Aldi, KFC, DM, Rossmann, Starbucks and McDonald's outlets), retail parks in Budakalász, Soroksár and Budaörs, in addition to several units leased by Spar outside of the capital region. According to portfolio.hu, MPTIA plans to acquire retail parks in Budakalász, Soroksár and Budaörs.
