Czech start-up Opifer, which has so far invested in biotechnology and IT start-ups, has acquired the Futurum shopping centre in Brno from Atrium European Real Estate, e15.cz reports.

Opifer's co-owner Lukáš Foral told the Czech daily that by acquiring this asset they hope to diversify their portfolio and achieve above-average yields.

The 35,000 sqm Futurum shopping centre opened in 2011. It is anchored by a Tesco hypermarket and is reported to be performing poorly.
