Czech Inn Hotels has bought the Prague Wellness Hotel Step, the company founder Jaroslav Svoboda has confirmed for Seznamzpravy.cz.
The hotel Step with a capacity of 160 rooms belongs to the category of the big hotels. It offers a water and sauna world, as well as conference facilities. "In this transaction, we applied our classic model. First, we were hired to manage the hotel, we improved the results, together with the owner we renovated it and gradually got the opportunity to invest in it. First, we bought the smallest possible share and now we have the majority," explains Svoboda. The original owner, Luděk Ingala, owner of IC Hotels, kept 10%.
Both parties did not want to disclose the price, but it reached hundreds of millions of Czech crowns. In Wellness Hotel Step, the company also wants to use its proximity to the O2 arena and invest in expanding conference and common areas. The name will not change.
