The Dornych project by Crestyl Group is to replace the old shopping centre in the neighbourhood of Brno's Central Station in the upcoming years. The developer has now announced a hotel as a part of this development. Its opening is planned for mid-2028.

NYX Brno will be the second operation by the Leonardo Hotels group in the Czech Republic after NYX Hotel Prague, which opened in 2017. The brand is known for its artistic concept, curated by local artists. The new NYX Hotel Brno will have 170 rooms on seven floors. The selection process for the operator was carried out for Crestyl by the hospitality department of Cushman & Wakefield. The interest of international and local operators underlines the importance of the Brno hotel market.

As part of the Dornych project, the current dilapidated huge building will be replaced by a partially roofed, freely accessible public space with a total area of 25,000 sqm, around which there will be six smaller buildings. In addition to the NYX hotel, they will house 186 rental residential units and approximately 50,000 sqm of office and retail space. The EUC clinic will also be included. Parking is provided in underground garages.

The total project investment accounts for over CZK 7 billion (€277 million). The current schedule assumes the existing building will be closed and demolished in the Autumn of this year. The project completion is foreseen in approximately three years from the start of demolition.
