Coworking space operator betahaus has opened its first hub in Bucharest, marking its entrance in Romania. The company has leased space in the Premium Plaza office project owned by GTC in central Bucharest.

The new coworking project will have a capacity of 170 seats and its mix of facilities includes meeting rooms, fully equipped kitchens and business class printers.

Last year, betahaus opened two locations in Sofia, with a combined area of 3,000 sqm, in buildings owned by GTC.

"We are confident that betahaus Victoriei will be a valuable asset to the Bucharest business community. It will stimulate creativity and teamwork, and quickly become a hub for talent, performance, and entrepreneurship development," said Ziv Gigi, CEO of GTC - SEE region.

Betahaus launched its first coworking space in Berlin in 2009 and has expanded in the region in the past decade.
