ČEZ has chosen the Smíchov City project of Sekyra Group for its new headquarters. The developer has already started the construction.

ČEZ will buy the new headquarters, which will include three separate buildings with a total area of 44,000 sqm, from Sekyra Group after its completion in 2027. One of the buildings with six floors above ground should house the headquarters. Sekyra Group began building the buildings speculatively, i.e. without a tenant known in advance, in the summer of last year.

ČEZ will be located next to the currently under-construction extensive campus of Česká spořitelna. Smíchov City is the largest urbanisation in central Prague since the creation of Vinohrady, not only as a residential district, but also as a significant office location – business hub.

Sekyra Group holds a dominant position in the Prague office market with a roughly 80% share in the segment of construction of office buildings. Smíchov City is turning into a full-fledged district with a balanced share of residences, offices and leisure areas. The total costs of the Smíchov City project will reach CZK 50 billion (€2 billion).
