Bulgarian Real Estate Fund (BREF) officially opened the Synergy Tower business building in Sofia, economy.bg reports. The investment is around €40 million. The first tenants of the building are Robert Bosch Bulgaria, Software AG, and INSAIT (Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology).


Situated in Sofia Tech Park, the first science and technology park in Bulgaria, which is a centre of attraction for IT companies, startups, and high-tech specialists, Synergy Tower has been designed to meet the highest standards for a healthy work environment, energy efficiency, and sustainable management. The 16-story multifunctional business building area of 50,761 sqm with open space office areas and commercial premises,  shops, restaurants, and recreation areas. The building meets all certification criteria, including the requirements of LEED. On the roof of the building, a solar panel has been built, which produces at least 20% of the energy required for its functioning.

Bulgarian Real Estate Fund is one of the first specialized investment companies of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange for investments in the real estate sector. The company was founded in October 2004 and is among the first registered REITs in Bulgaria. BREF specializes in strategic purchases and investments in properties with good returns in all sectors of the real estate market in Bulgaria. Among the projects of BREF are Synergy Tower, Kambanite Business Center, East Tower on G.M. Dimitrov Blvd., and Kambanite Green Offices on the Ring Road, which houses some of the leading international IT and outsourcing companies.
