The aquisition aims to strengthen the position of the group in retail and office market and is subject to approval by Hungarian Competition Authority.


BDPST Capital Zrt., the investment arm of BDPST Group has acquired Tarragona Holding Zrt. which holds Diófa Alapkezelő, a top asset management company in Hungary. It was among the first to launch an ESG fund in the country, demonstrating a truly green approach to real estate financing, the buyer argued in a press release.

The group entered the Hungarian financial market by acquiring a minority stake in Gránit Bank. Buying Diófa Alapkezelő is a further step in strengthening its market position.

The newly acquired asset management company has a significant record in managing property and securities investments. The total value of the portfolio is more than €1.2 billion (HUF 460 billion). Diófa Alapakezelő has been managing the 3rd biggest property fund in Hungary.
