CTP has announced the expansion of the premises for CIE Automotive at CTPark Hranice located in Moravia with direct access to motorways leading to Olomouc, Ostrava and Poland.
CIE Automotive’s second expansion with CTP will add 5,200 sqm to their existing premises. The project is expected to be completed in the first half of next year.
CIE Metal CZ, a company that designs and manufactures components for the automotive industry worldwide, has leased space in CTPark Hranice from 2021. CIE has chosen this location for the proximity to the end customer and the existing CIE plant in Valašské Meziříčí. The move reflects the growing trend of nearshoring, where companies are moving production closer to their customers in response to the changing geopolitical situation.
In 2023, CIE expanded its production capacity to a total of 13,233 sqm to meet growing demand. This latest expansion will take place in warehouse HR5, for which CTP has already obtained planning permission. It is located close to the existing warehouse allowing a connection between production and warehouse.
CIE uses the park's facilities not only for storage purposes but also for manufacturing. The Hall HR5 is equipped with storage technologies and has BREEAM certification, including the possibility of installing photovoltaic panels. Currently, CIE Automotive is also preparing for an increase in jobs as a result of the expansion.
