The French group will open a Mercure hotel in Debrecen, the second-largest city in Hungary. This will be the second destination for the brand outside Budapest.
The newly built property will offer 135 rooms and 20 apartments located over 4 floors. Guests may enjoy a restaurant, a bar, a café, and fitness facilities, while conference and meeting rooms will be available for business travelers.
Accor’s main Hungarian partners were Bajcsy Invest Kft., a subsidiary of local developer Szinorg Universal Group, and BOARD Architectural Studio, responsible for the design.
The current investment is linked to the Debrecen 2030 program, which foresees a significant development of accommodation facilities.
