Real estate group Duna House has released its monthly Transaction Estimate and mortgage forecast, showing that there were 11,526 residential property transactions in Hungary in October 2021, down 2.4% over September, and also below the October prints of the previous years. This marks a downturn after a pickup in August and September, but the number of transactions is still expected to exceed 150,000 in 2021.
After a nearly 4.5% month-on-month growth in the number of transactions in September, the October print shows a 2.4% m/m decline, with 11,526 transactions, according to the latest estimate by Duna House.
In annual terms, the number of transactions for January-October is still up 17%, and it is largely the same as in the same period of 2019. Expecting a similar activity for the remainder of the year, Duna House projects a 15% annual growth for this year, with the transaction meter coming in around 150,000.
