Lublin’s office stock to expand in 2021

Lublin’s total office stock remained unchanged at the end of June 2019, flatlining at 191,200 sqm, according to Cushman & Wakefield. Despite the lack of new supply, occupier activity was healthy, which pushed the city’s vacancy rate down to 10.6%, representing a 9.1 pp decrease year-on-year.

Blackstone raises $20.5 billion for largest ever real estate fund

Blackstone announced the final close of its latest global real estate fund, Blackstone Real Estate Partners IX. BREP IX has $20.5 billion of total capital commitments — the largest real estate fund ever raised. Blackstone is also currently investing two regional opportunistic funds, the €7.9 billion BREP Europe V and the $7.2 billion BREP Asia II.

Strong demand persists on Prague’s office market

The office space market in Prague is currently doing very well and has a great potential for further development. Its excellent condition is illustrated by several parameters that Cushman & Wakefield has been monitoring on a long-term basis and whose correct interpretation in relation to the current results is presented here. These indicators are primarily the highly positive trend in the office demand (the occupied office space increased by 47,000 sqm), vacancy rate remaining at its record-breaking low (with just 4.6% of stock being vacant) and the highest number of newly opened buildings in the last five years (17 buildings including 11 newly built ones).

Panattoni Europe opens new factory in Łódź

Panattoni Europe has opened the largest manufacturing facility in its portfolio and the largest plant manufacturing household appliances in Europe – a dishwasher factory for BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego. The facility dedicated to Industry 4.0 was built in Łódź – next to the Central European Logistics Hub – taking up 57,000 sqm. The official opening took place on 10 September, 10 months after the acquisition of the site. The factory neighbours on the BSH Logistics Centre and the upcoming Panattoni Appliance Park, developed specifically to serve BSH’s manufacturing facility.

New leases

  • Amsterdam Standard, a Dutch technology company has moved into Kraków's Porto Office B office building. Its new office occupies nearly 600 sqm.
  • The brands Join UP! and SkyUpTM, previous tenants of space in the Adgar Wave office building in Warsaw, are relocating. They will continue to rent offices from Adgar Poland. The companies have moved into a 900-square-metre office previously occupied by employees of the building's owner.
  • An electronics manufacturer has leased nearly 11,000 sqm of manufacturing space at Prologis Park Wrocław V. The tenant belongs to a larger group of companies based in Hong Kong.This is the company's first headquarters in Poland.

New appointments

  • Dariusz Blocher has resigned from the position of chair of Unibep. The supervisory board has appointed Andrzej Sterczyński as president of the company from January 1st, 2025.
  • Agnieszka Słomka-Gołębiowska has resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Audit Committee of Ghelamco Invest. The position of member of Ghelamco's Supervisory Board will be filled by Lidia Jabłonowska-Luby. An existing member of the Audit Committee, Jarosław Myjak, was also appointed to act as chairman of the Audit Committee.
  • MLP Group is from now on working with a smaller board of directors. Monika Dobosz has resigned from her position. She had served on the company's board since July 2022, when she was appointed to the board together with Agnieszka Góźdź.
